Learn paint a tiger face design.
Face painting is the highlight of birthday parties, festivals, fairs and community events. Children love getting their faces painted because they can "transform" into different people or animals. Because the tiger design balances cute and fierce, elegant and majestic, it is a particular popular face painting design for young girls and boys. Follow some basic design instructions and practice the comma stroke to use as stripes in order to paint faces like a tiger.
Instructions
1. Dip a face painting sponge in water, then rotate it in white paint. Paint white around the eyes and paint the muzzle. The muzzle is the part of the face below the nose, following the laugh lines to the corner of the mouth, then following the laugh lines to the base of the chin. Use small circular motions with the sponge on the face to get an even coat of paint.
2. Dip a face-painting sponge in water, then rotate it in yellow paint. Paint the remainder of the face yellow.
3. Dip the fan brush in water, then rub it in orange paint. Press the fan brush down on the hairline and pull inward toward the nose about an inch, lifting and flicking as you end the stroke. Do this around the entire edge of the face along the hairline, jawline and coming up from the chin.
4. Dip a medium round brush in black paint to make three comma strokes on each side of the forehead as stripes. Make a comma strokes by pressing the brush on the top of the forehead and curving inward, lifting as you curve so that the stroke ends in a point. Paint three comma strokes on each cheek starting at the back of the cheek and flicking inward.
5. Dip a medium round brush in black paint and paint the lips and nose. Outline the white muzzle going from the outer base of the nose down to the bottom of the chin on both sides of the face.
6. Dip a small round detail brush in black paint and paint a line from the mid-base of the nose to the mid-top lip. Put three dots on either side of that line. Paint three short flicks coming out of the corners of the eyes.
7. Dip a small round detail brush in white paint and paint upside down white comma strokes, flicking upward and inward, in between the black strokes on the cheeks and forehead. Put two white short flicks between the black flicks on the corners of the eyes also.
