Vincent Price
Vincent Price is an American film icon, specifically in the horror genre. Some of Price's most memorable roles are from the films "House of Wax," "House of Usher," "The Raven" and "The Last Man on Earth." Price was a slender, tall, dark-haired man, with a voice that could cause every hair on your body to stand on end. To copy such a recognizable character actor will involve becoming a character yourself.
Instructions
1. Practice the voice. Vincent Price's voice is a mix between Orson Welles and Peter Lorre. It at times can be soft and slithery, but also commanding. They key is to make sure you pronounce all of your words, and allow your sentences to trail a bit. For example, if you say "yes," stretch out the word so its more like "yeeeeessss."
2. Copy his eyes. Price had very haunting eyes. The key is to widen the eyes when your interested in something, and to lower your brow when thinking something devious. His eyes were always a sign into what his characters where thinking.
3. Know what to do with the hands. An image that Price is known for is sitting in a dark shadow thinking, with his fingers clasped together. Intertwine your fingers with one another, and lean forward in a chair. Allow your hand to be close to your face near your nose. It will look as if you are hatching a dangerous plan, but you want to hide it from the world.
4. Have the right face. The thin mustache and thick, arched eyebrow were prominent on the face of Vincent Price. You can buy a fake mustache or draw one on with a black eyeliner pencil. Outline the eyebrows to emphasize the arch with the pencil as well.
