You might get spray paint on your car for any number of reasons. Whether vandals did the infraction or you accidentally painted it while painting something else nearby, it is not very difficult to remove. Follow a few of the tips below to get your vehicle back in pristine shape.
Instructions
1. Wash the car to remove any dirt particles that could scratch the car when you remove the paint.
2. Dip a clean cloth into fingernail polish remover that has acetone in it. Squeeze any excess off the end of the cloth.
3. Rub the spray-painted areas very lightly, watching closely for when you reach the car's original paint. Stop rubbing when you have removed the unwanted spray paint, because if you keep rubbing, you could begin to rub out the car's paint.
4. Spray the car with water and wash it again to remove any haze left by the acetone. Then wax the car with a cleaner/wax that has a slight amount of rubbing compound in it.
5. Clean the spray paint off your car with Magic Eraser, made by Mr. Clean. Wet the sponge and try it first in an inconspicuous spot on the vehicle. Rub very lightly until you reach the car's original paint. Wash, dry and wax to car's original shine.
