Certain vines have vibrant blooms along their length.
If you are painting a picture of a vine onto canvas, wood or furniture, you can make the vine more appealing by adding on a few vine flowers, which are found in nature in a wide variety of colors. In order to paint the vine flowers onto the material, like canvas, it is important to prepare the canvas properly and to follow a few guidelines to make the flowers look as they would on an actual vine.
Instructions
1. Paint the entire surface of the canvas with white acrylic paint. Allow the paint to dry. This will prepare the canvas for painting by creating a smooth surface.
2. Cover a size 3 round brush with dark green acrylic paint, and paint a long, winding vine onto the canvas.
3. Cover a size 4 filbert brush with magenta acrylic paint, and paint a 3-inch filled circle onto the vine. Repeat this for as many vine flowers as you would like in your painting.
4. Paint three filled triangles onto one side of each circle using the size 3 round brush.
5. Flick the tip of the round brush against the tip of each triangular top to make the petals of the flowers look more wispy and delicate. Allow the painting to dry.
